Cervical Spondylitis, Disc Disorder & Osteoarthritis

Cervical Disc Disorder leads to bulging of disc with pressure on the spinal cord and the exiting roots leading to muscle spasm due to nerve root irritation and neuralgic pains. Pains radiate down to the shoulder, arm and forearm depending on the level of nerve root involved.  In many cases it can cause weakness of the involved muscles and sensory deficit, in rare cases the pressure on the roots and cord can cause paralysis of the involved upper limb as it happened in this patient below.
